I need some shorts because the weather is supposed to take a hike north to about 90 - 95 on Friday. I’m still a little skeptical about wether or not this is really going to happen, but I should be prepaid by at least having one pair of shorts.
Normally I just cut off the pair of pants that are the most destroyed, but so far this year it’s just not in the cards. I think I’ll have to make a trip to the old GoodWill and see what’s up.
I’m honestly not that excited about the heat that’s coming for about a day, but I guess it’s to be expected. Summer is almost here and I get the feeling Tennessee is going to be a bit hotter than Portland.

Is there anything special that you do to get ready for summer. Making a pair of cut off is about all I can think of.

Its one of the best day’s we’ve had here all year. The sun is out, the temperature is up to around 70 and it is beautiful outside. Days like today are what i’ll miss most about the northwest. You just cant beat a good spring day in the Portland area.
My ajenda for the day has consisted of..
There just really isnt more you could ask for right? Well how about adding a little Sweeney Todd???

Here in Portland were getting a fairly radical storm coming through. It’s dropping a little bit of everything. I guess it has been since 2002 that the surrounding area has had snow in March. (dont quote me on that) Im always curious about the weather and what makes it work the way it does.

I also heard about a new iceberg in Antarctica check it out. ↓
A city-sized iceberg has broken off an island near Antarctica.
The iceberg is about 8 miles wide and 15 miles long. It broke free of the Fimbul Ice Shelf, a large glacial ice sheet along the northwestern section of Queen Maud Land, in the eastern Weddell Sea near Antarctica
I’ve always been curious about what will happen in the future when it comes to climate change and how it will affect our geography. There are so many points of view on this and some people are a little to passionate about it so i’ll keep my opinion to myself for now.
My thought is this. If an ecological catastrophe were to strike the world in a global form, and we were forced to change our habits and patterns what would happen? (a little more specific) If your material world was striped by an act of nature (not God) who would you be?
Do you think the majority of the people in our culture are capable of surviving outside of the American standard? Could I? Could You?

Well I got up this morning around 4am (Pacific time) and thought, “what am i doing”…. its raining out side really bad and im supposed to go to downtown Portland and break out some sidewalk so some other guys can put the concrete back in. Well as you can see above it raining today. So, that should make my day interesting. The only thing i have for the day are all your stories i went out and read this morning.
im not very fast when it comes to reading and when i can see a number of pages or post than im discoraged from the beginning. I did it anyway, and i didnt cheat. I just bumped up the font size in my browser to about 25 and then i could see the words from the back of the room. course there were only about 2 or 3 words per line.
Anyway, Im really glad to have had the chance to get to know all the reader i know. oops my ride is here later

Well the weather man was right and I was wrong. The storm came in, but im still going out to work. Days like today we go out to the mall and spread the rock that keeps people from crashing. (you know the stuff thats usually getting shot up all over you from the car ahead)
This was all the weather guys had to say this morning. I reallly wouldnt mind going out and putting rock down because usually they have a truck that spreads it. That truck is broken right now. I’ll have to resort to my supper strength. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I just got done checking the weather for the next week, and it’s a good report. It’s going to be rainy and snowy and nasty out. Just what the doctor ordered.

lots of crap weather. I guess this means that I’ll be getting some quality time on the keyboard. I’ll have to pull out the fingernail clippers and trim up so I don’t break a nail.
Maybe we could actually get some new blogs started this week. Wouldnt that be exciting.

Its been raining here for about 3 day, but looking outside I can see some blue sky. There is something about walking out into the sun after a long stretch of clouds. Probably has something to do with my body needing sunlight. Oh, the wonders that be.
By the way, if you havn’t noticed Im going to be posting smaller posts here until the wordpress series is complete. Im really trying not to drag it out.

The upper Chehalis River washed out the bridge to the tiny community of Dryad on Monday. It was one of several bridges destroyed or badly damaged in the stretch between Chehalis and Pe Ell.

Last weekend we had a couple of days of strait !rain!, it went for about 3 days solid. I really didnt think about it much, i was inside working on the computer minding my own business. By Monday (day 3) the Oregon cost got slammed with wind and tore down a grip of trees knocking out power to a lot of people. there were streets that flooded and you could watch it all on the news. Unfortunately I think there were some casualties, but i dont know the figures on that.
I believe the Portland area had some minor flooding in some specific area like Fanno Creek and in some Mobil home parks. nothing too bad. Here’s the thing I got a call from my parents the other day asking if had floated away! “huh ? …”, is what i said. “no” , “the creek out back got real loud but i didnt see anything” my dad said, “oh, well the news was telling all about this huge storm and how Portland was under water…”
After he stopped we both started to laugh because we know that the news is retarded sometimes. Portland, i was really hoping you were different, but you saw a storm and you jumped on it. I feel bad for the people who dont have a choice what they report on. I’ll let you know when Portland really floods.
