Mr-Box.jpgI’m not entirely sure why I’m a skeptic but I definitely am, especially when it comes to Church. I’m a very visually judgmental person (even though you will never notice it, and you wouldn’t think it.) and I know that is a bad thing. I also have a tendancy to think that people are what they appear to be, and I know that is wrong as well.

Although I find Church strange in the fact that the same Bible verses are referenced a million time in the span of only half my life time, it would appear there are more than a million different ways to look at something. Believe me I know what the right frame of mind can do for any sermon, and I know what the wrong frame of mind can do as well.

So as I sat there I pulled out my pins and began to draw a few doodles while listening, and as I listened I thought about a few things.

Here they are… I scribbled these down in Church as they came into my head…

Stories for us that we’ve never done or seen, but examples for us to think about. To pretend that we would give up our first born to trust God. Metaphors for life and examples, yet every time the same concepts with a new wrapper… Not always… It’s like a bag of different kinds of candy.

Will I really move mountains?
Will I really have the voice of even the Apostles?
To do what we can to break the Mold…What will we do?
I don’t like the Mold I feel like we stand in.
Is there something different coming?…different in the sense of social structure, something bad.
Is this Mold being built to make us weak?

Make no mistake, I don’t say these things because I’m new believer. I don’t say these things because I’m loosing my faith. I don’t say these things because I want an answer from you. these are rhetorical ‘?’s… But questions all the same, and when I find my answers I think things will be different.

I was going through my Twitter stuff today and was following people that have been following me. But only the people that I actually know. And I saw this…

following-on-twitter.jpg

Who’s the most ridiculous person that’s following you on twitter??? I just hope I don’t break her heart when I don’t follow her…

I’ll admit I follow a few people I don’t know, but only hot chicks… not really

woo-hoo-10000.jpgToday I got up went to check on some things here and noticed one very important item… My stat counter just clicked 10,000…

Yes, I’m kind of a stats junky, but only in the sense that it’s good to see progress. I know I’ve never had a serious message or an over all theme (apart from just trying to have fun), but I’m not to worried about it.

Just want to say thanks for the interest, you’ve made this an actual creative outlet for me… :-)

Here are a few un-impresive stats I’ve gathered that I thought were interesting to me…

It’s just to bad I’m not cool enough to be taken seriously by Technorati… No worries, I’m not even a year old yet.

I like this chart… It’s cool to see things grow.

Referring Sites are at the top, I guess that means this community things is working.

Apparently I’m not quite a global commodity yet, heck I’m hardly even a national treasure.

So this is a little bit of a change up from the normal Positive Posts here. I’m not really sure where this is going, but every time I look at this photo I remember a time when I used to be crazy-insane and supper destructive. So many memories… I wish I could plug my brain in and watch the memories on a big screen. How funny would that be.

I’m on the right…

All I can think of is that when I have kids I want them to have as much fun as I did. I can only imagine the pain that means for me and the head ache, but it’s still fun to think about.

Here’s to my family and all the insane things we did.

  • Lego Mansions
  • Mud Pits
  • Tadpole Hunts
  • Jumping Bikes and Bleeding
  • Burning Stuff
  • Building Tree Forts
  • Digging for Quarts
  • Playing Cars with HotWheels
  • Six by Six’s
  • GI JOE
  • Scary Storms
  • Bonfires
  • Bebeguns
  • Big Wheels
  • Puddles
  • this could go on and on…

I’m sure you could say the same, I hope your kids can too… :-)

I know these pics aren’t that great, but this was my first time in Nashville. Kinda interesting, but I think Portland has it beat.

None the less it has a really cool vibe… I should have gotten my picture taken in from of Kenny Chesney’s bus…

7-2-08.jpgTime flies by and we seem to be sitting in the middle of a movie watching things happen. Some times it’s almost like there’s a song going on in the background, but I can’t hear it. Some one is playing a montagh of my life.

Summer is actually here,,, the 4th is this weekend, and I’ve been in TN for 3 weeks or so. It’s crazy how time goes by, but I guess it more of the fact that things happen as time goes by. Some days I just wake up and look back on all the things that have happened in the most recent spot of my life and wonder about it.

It’s been one of those mornings. I just realized that its July 2nd and I was thinking about July months ago, and I was wondering what I would be doing and where I would be.

The Last Three Months…

  • I did something I’v never done —>>> Rode a Scooter on a Main Road.
  • I Traveled the Farthest East I’ve ever been since I was 4yrs old.
  • Learned more about PHP than I’ve ever known.
  • Met 7 or so Bloggers in person… One of the coolest things, if you get a chance to meet someone you read or reads about you try not to chicken out.
  • I’ve gone to Church more time in the last three weeks than I did in the last 3yrs…
  • I’ve realized that Suburbia is very weird…

Anyone, with any major accomplishments,,,??? for some reason the people with new borns kept coming into my head. I’ve been thinking, “I bet those people look back on their last three months in amazment, now it’s just baby poop…” Good luck to the new parents out there.

Here are the two I can think of.
1) Visual Trademark 2) Daniel Renstrom

Today was another day of meeting people, thing is when you read people’s blogs you get to kinda meet them in advance.

Today Brody and I met up with Jeff Culmer. I’ve never met Jeff but from the comments and random emails we’ve had I’ve always thought it would be fun to hang out and do nothing. Well, thats just about all we did. I don’t really remember the name of the place we went to, but it was kinda relaxed and I got to hear some interesting stories about the business.

Oh and he’s freaking tall, so if you read his blog and you’re wondering, now you know. I’m sure we’ll be hangen out more as time rolls on.

I also had a chance to meet the infamous Randy Elrod. Brody and I went to a place to try and get some light work done and get a chance to be away from the house. Turns out Randy is a really nice guy, I’ve always thought so from what I’ve read but know I can back it up.

I’ll admit at first I wasn’t sure who Brody was saying hi to, but then I kinda put it together. I found myself trying to squish the drawing of his face together. (you know the drawing where he has the big head on the little body) anyway… Cool guy.

Relax1.jpgAfter taking a break from the computer and the world of code and browser interaction I had an opportunity to relax.

In the last two days I’ve had a chance to talk to two different bloggers…

  1. Beyond Jems… Originally she was meeting with Brody, since I was bored I hopped in the car and went for a ride. We met up at S-Buks and had a drink while talking about blogging, charity and some music.

We talked about a great idea she has brewing about a fundraiser for charities of your choice. I’m not sure if I would be letting the cat out of the bag, so I’ll leave it at that. But go over and check out her blog. I think over the next couple of months, as she gets all the details nailed down, you’ll be interested in being involved.

  2. Next was another ride along for me when as I tagged along with Brody to meet up with William Guice. He’s a great guy who seems to be on top of his stuff. I’ll admit I really haven’t read much of his stuff, but I will be. We sat around and talked about blogging and what it can do for a community. To honest I kept going off on rabbit trails of thought in my head as they were talking about musicians and thing here in TN that I don’t know anything about.

At any rate he is really cool, with a really good attitude, and I’ll definitely be reading more of him in the future.

Well, I think I may have leaned a little something today. I don’t think it’s really anything new for me, but I had to learn it again. Things don’t always work out the way they should, and I like to freak out… There’s no need to freak out.

You ever have those moment in you life that you look back on and think, “Wow, I really over reacted.” Today was really close to being one of those day.

Take it easy everyone, you’re day will be better for it.
