Things I thought about today

• how is it that the world moves the way it does and yet the general mood seems to have no reflection of its creator?
• my time and energy is spent day in and day out do things and completing tasks that seem pointless. If i was alive 2,000 yrs ago would my daily routines seem less pointless. Has the rise in technology and the speed of our culture changed our perception when it comes to our quality of life?
• in the tradition of remembering Christs death and resurrection (at this point in time) i would rather be silent in thought than boisterous in praise.

Ive always found it interesting to think about where, we as a culture, are in the time line of existence.

Happy Easter

This “Holiday” always seems to confuse me. To me the meaning of Easter is totaly different than the “Holiday” of easter. And with it goes, what day is it on. I get the feeling it has something to do with celestial cycles, or at least something other than our Monthly system.

As i grew up Easter was a normal thing. We did all the regular eastery things like eggs and some candy, the fun things. And my mom always liked to get us something small like a baseball cap or a stuffed animal. (honestly i think if my mom could she would send us kids presents everyday.) Growing up i also remember going to the early morning service, Sunrise service. Sitting in the cold listening to the Pastor talk about Chirsts sacrafice.
