Relax1.jpgAfter taking a break from the computer and the world of code and browser interaction I had an opportunity to relax.

In the last two days I’ve had a chance to talk to two different bloggers…

  1. Beyond Jems… Originally she was meeting with Brody, since I was bored I hopped in the car and went for a ride. We met up at S-Buks and had a drink while talking about blogging, charity and some music.

We talked about a great idea she has brewing about a fundraiser for charities of your choice. I’m not sure if I would be letting the cat out of the bag, so I’ll leave it at that. But go over and check out her blog. I think over the next couple of months, as she gets all the details nailed down, you’ll be interested in being involved.

  2. Next was another ride along for me when as I tagged along with Brody to meet up with William Guice. He’s a great guy who seems to be on top of his stuff. I’ll admit I really haven’t read much of his stuff, but I will be. We sat around and talked about blogging and what it can do for a community. To honest I kept going off on rabbit trails of thought in my head as they were talking about musicians and thing here in TN that I don’t know anything about.

At any rate he is really cool, with a really good attitude, and I’ll definitely be reading more of him in the future.

Well, I think I may have leaned a little something today. I don’t think it’s really anything new for me, but I had to learn it again. Things don’t always work out the way they should, and I like to freak out… There’s no need to freak out.

You ever have those moment in you life that you look back on and think, “Wow, I really over reacted.” Today was really close to being one of those day.

Take it easy everyone, you’re day will be better for it.

These are my top 5 Referrers over the last month.

  1. Brody Harper
Brody and I have known each other forever so it’s only natural that I read his blog, but why I like it another story.

One of the things that I like about Brody’s blog are his random posts about things that are going on around us. It seems that he sees things in a different way than most people and I love to read his take on things.

  2. Carlos Whittaker
Ragamuffinsoul seems to live inside of some type of worm hole that transmits his life strait onto his blog and onto twitter.

The thing that keeps me coming back is the community interaction that springs up from all reaches of the web. It’s really fun to watch everything that evolves around his posts. A recent favorite was I Watched Myself Sleep…, even though I don’t really care to see his boxers, it was funny. He seems like an absolute people person, probably a great guy.

  3. Jeff Culmer
Jeff is a candid writer, and seems to be loosing his same for self promotion, which is awesome.

I’ve been reading for a while and sometimes I think I should call him and give him crap about something he’s posted just to be a jerk. (cause it would be funny)

  4. Jonathan & Adrienne
These folks are my Brother and His wife, so it’s a no brainer in the “should I read them today” thought process.

Apart from being family, I like to read there posts because of the family feel. (does that contradict the “apart from being family” thing) What I mean is I enjoy reading about family’s. It’s fun to watch them grow.

  5. Kristen
Being that Kristen is married to Brody it would only be safe to say I read her blog. (sometime just to see if she is making fun of him)

Really though I like her take on life, and I get a kick out some of the interesting stories that come from her boy’s.

If you’re on this list I hope you like what you see. If your here just checking it out and you don’t read one of these go and see if for yourself.

I was just over at inWorship and was reading his post “Don’t Waste Your Time“. I’ve always enjoyed the 30days to live concept. Be sure to go and read.

After I read it I started to think of how much of a freak I would be acting like if I really only had 30days to live. I’d probably be running all over the place and babbling about all types of things trying to scramble to get it all done. Then I thought, 30 months would be a lot better. And the death at the end of 30 months would quick so no you’re not spending the time in the hospital or anything.

30 Months ‘hmmmm???’ 2.5yrs ‘hmmmm???’ What to do???

1-month.jpgI’m not sure what I would really do with my last 30 days, or 30 months. I know this for sure, showing gratitude and giving thanks is never a waste. I think that is where I would start.

baloon-plugin-32px.pngSo I had an Idea this morning thanks to a chat that I was in over at arewestillcool, last monday. I went over to there site and participated in there chat, a good time was had by all. They have a little image in there sidebar advertising the next chat on May 19 at 9pm est. I liked it so much that I thought I would grab the image and put it in my sidebar to try and get more people to come join the chat.

Here is what I came up with…

I built a page where you can put in an image URL and a Link URL hit send and bam!!! you get an email with the code you need to put it in your blogs text widget. There is plenty of instruction and a few rules, but have at it.

Click Here TO Check it out

, or you can click on the little ballon with the puzzle piece.

Added Bonus!

While I was building this page I decided to ad an extra feature. There is a section in the form letting you choose to have your code posted publicly so you can share you Image Link with the rest of the world. If you choose ‘Yes’ I’ll grab your code and put it in a textarea box and post it above the form. This way anyone can grab it and put it in there sidebar.

Check it out, tell your friends, but don’t abuse it. Also if you find any glitches let me know. Have fun :-)

spoon-w-forks.jpgHave you ever felt like a Spoon that got put in with all the Forks?

Not sure why, but I always feel this way when I go to Church. It’s not that bad of a thing to feel in my opinion, but it’s there none the less. It’s not that I feel left out or treated differently, but something is just a little off.

I think that finding a place where you can fellowship with other believers is a huge part of Life. I’ve always thought that feeling like a Spoon caught with the Forks might be a good thing. Maybe us Spoons have something to offer we don’t know about.

This may sound cheesy, but perhaps us Spoons just aren’t paying attention to the reality that we don’t poke things we scoop them.

blogroll-breadroll.jpgI just want to say thanks to everyone for you comments on the Blog Roll Post. I’ve added everyone I’m fairly sure, and if I made a mistake please let me know and I’ll fix it. Also, I’m a retarded speller so let me know if the spelling is off.

Other wise if you’re reading this and you’re not sure what’s up, go down two posts and let me know who you are.

So, apparently Natalie Grant is kinda famous. Perhaps everyone out there new this, but wow!!! I just wanted to say it here, thanks everyone that went and checked it out and commented and told your friends.

I am definitely blessed to be working in the industry at this point in time, doing what i am doing. Projects like these in a community like ours has begun to open a lot of doors for me in the world of the web. It means a lot to me to know that Brody and I have a ton of people out there supporting what were doing.

Thanks!!! :-)

webkinz-timmy.gif

Here is another Genious idea for the web. This kinda reminds me of Beanie Babys, only alot more fun. Here’s the gist of it.

You go to the store and buy a Webkinz stuffed animal and then you give it to a friend. They take it home and use the addoption tag it came with to register / adopt it on Webkinz.com. You put in some very basic info (nothing personal, not even an email) and your off.

It’s built for kids and its just a giant playroom full of silly games and things to do with your webkinz pet. It’s alot like a learning center of sorts. Yes, there are some stupid part to it and some consumer parts to it aswell, but what a great concept of intorducing kids to the internet.

Here is my diclaimer. I do realize this could be bad, theres probably a scandle in there somewhere. Although, I am a huge backer of introducing our younger generations to current technology in a way they can enjoy it.

Just imagine if your generation was more properly introduced to the newest technology at the time. Remember MathBlaster, Oregon Trail and Where in the world is Carmen San Diego. If technology presents itself with a purpose its bound to grow.

I read about this blog earlyer this morning from the blog Harald called: Found Cameras and Orphan Pictures.

Here is there tag line:
Do you recognize any of these people? Each one of these lost photos came from a found camera or memory stick. Tell your friends about this site and let’s all try to return some of these lost pictures home.

Andrew G.R. of the Blog Harald Writes.

It’s bound to happen to all of us. You snap some great shots with your digital camera, get sidetracked, and lose the darn thing. Then, all that’s left to do is pray that an angel will somehow bring the mega-pixel gadget back into your hands. That is, until now.

Thanks to the Ifoundyourcamera.net blog, the brainchild of 20-year-old Canadian student Matt Preprost, you have a fighting chance.

If you happen to find a camera, and believe that ‘what goes around comes around,’ you now have a venue to be a good Samaritan. Just e-mail at least two photos from the found camera, include details on where and when you found it, and the blog will attempts to get the orphan camera back home where it belongs.

Since its launch less then 30 days ago, the Website has garnered over 400,000 visitors within three weeks.

The good will return cameras. The average will keep the camera and return the memory card. The evil will keep the camera and the pictures for themselves.

I Found Your Camera is a great destination for sympathetic folks who understand how much losing your camera stinks.

I dig this kind of stuff. Check it out.

I thought I would through this out there for those of you that Ive noticed peaking around. I’ve been out checking out a lot more blogs lately, but im real hesitant to leave any kind of comment because I dont know that person. I figure that eventually I’ll read something they have wrote and I’ll say something.

Well if you’re here and your fairly sure I dont know you, and you would like to just say ‘Hi’ go ahead.
