bringing you something fun…

I went to a really good meeting this morning with some folks over at Buzz Plant. I really liked the vibe I got from them, they seem really relaxed yet on top of their stuff. (Which is really refreshing to see.)

We talked about some really interesting things concerning Databases and Flash, SEO and some guys in white hats and oh yeah, some blog stuff too. So yes, I left that meeting with a huge smile on and few new concepts to chew on. But as I got closer to my sweet ride I realized that I didn’t have my keys.

missing-scoot-keys.jpgIf I was at home I would have walked strait back into the house to get them, but I wasn’t at home. The first thing I thought was, “There in the freaking ignition”… Sure enough, there they were just sitting there waiting for someone to stroll along and take it out for a spin. (thank goodness Franklin isn’t a bad town)

images.jpgToday I was approached by a guy in a Marines uniform. He came up all casual and started to talk about my scooter and seemed kind of interested in what it was all about. I was wrong, he was more interested in me.

I had no idea I still looked like I might have just gotten out of High School, or at least personified a personality of aimless wonderer. We started to talk and he quickly changed the subject from the scooter to the military. His first mistake was asking me when I graduated High School. I’ll give him credit because the instant he finished that question he must have read the look on my face and realized it was about the dumbest thing he could have asked.

I must have had a look of minor distaste in my expression because he quickly added, “at least a few years right”. Me, “Actually it’s been over ten years”. (with a small chuckle) Honestly I didn’t see this coming. I just assumed he was actually interested in my scooter.

1687355.jpgIn the end I had to tell him that I’ve been around long enough to know that I would never join the service and that I just didn’t have the personality.

I’m glad their are people out their willing to join the service and I’m glad that people are willing to do what ever it is that service guys do, but it’s not for me. I’ve just always thought that I wouldn’t have to explain that. This was the first time I’ve ever been approached by anyone trying to get me interested in the service. Unfortunately for this guy he’s not very good at reading his opponent, and I honestly think I might have been older than he was.

What is there to do in Spring Hill on a Sunday night around 9:47pm… Nothing, so why not take a ride to Franklin and drive through downtown like a bat out of hell…

spinghill-franklin.gifI was sitting down at the Exxon in Spring Hill board and drinking a soda thinking about how little I’ve actually driven around. That’s when it struck me, “there are probably less cars on the road on a Sunday night than any other night of the week.” I sat there for about 5min debating and then I just decided the heck with it…

Turns out it only takes 20-25min to get to Franklin going down hwy31. I had to pull over a couple of times to let some cars go by, but all in all it was a good ride. I got into Franklin and decided that I was just going to cruse for a while, the best part was the round-about. I think I went around it about 5 times in a row. Honestly I was kinda scared because I was trying to push it on the speed, and I just don’t think the scoot is made to corner.

Maybe next weekend I’ll try and get to Nashville. I need to find my limits because my brother and his wife are expecting their baby late august, and I’m starting to think I might be able to ride there. They live in Massachusetts. There is no way I could do it right now, but with a little training I might be able to pull it off.

Where Should I go next Sunday? (keep it inside the nashville area)

So here it is,,, this is where I’ve been for the last few days. Slaving away till all hours of the night, brain storming and typing like a Stenographer on crack…(you know you love it)

So this is VisualComa v3.1.0 and I like it… It’s not a huge diviation from the last design, but its a little more fresh and simple. I wanted the visual focus to be more directed to the posted content. I guess that mean I should put some real content in here then… Another point of interest was to freshen things up by using a relaxing font when possible. Apple Casual is a great font, one of my favorites.

Other News

As I mentioned the other day I actually bought my own Scooter. It’s a Honda Ruckus 50cc, yes that’s the weakest cc I could have gotten apart from getting a pocket bike. but seriously who would I be kidding if I were to get a real motor cycle… I’m pretty sure I would kill myself or lay it down on my foot right in the middle of town and have to be drug out from under it. Then some old lady with saggy nylon tights would come over to see if I was O.K. and I would accidentally look up her dress… So lets just forget about getting a motor cycle. I don’t like what I’m thinking about.

What else is new…

mika.jpgIn relation to what else I’ve been doing, mostly typing but also listening to some sweet tunes. One in particular that I got was ‘Grace Kelly‘ from Mika… I freaking love this song, and for some reason they remind me of Queen. oh and don’t ask why, but I’ve really been into the Shiny Toy Guns, weird I know…

Nuff said for now,,, I promise I’ll get some good video of the Scooter in action (biscuet), maybe even a wheely. just for you Wine… I’m building a mount on the front for my camera, so, good time are coming…

Take it easy :-)
