So here it is,,, this is where I’ve been for the last few days. Slaving away till all hours of the night, brain storming and typing like a Stenographer on crack…(you know you love it)

So this is VisualComa v3.1.0 and I like it… It’s not a huge diviation from the last design, but its a little more fresh and simple. I wanted the visual focus to be more directed to the posted content. I guess that mean I should put some real content in here then… Another point of interest was to freshen things up by using a relaxing font when possible. Apple Casual is a great font, one of my favorites.

Other News

As I mentioned the other day I actually bought my own Scooter. It’s a Honda Ruckus 50cc, yes that’s the weakest cc I could have gotten apart from getting a pocket bike. but seriously who would I be kidding if I were to get a real motor cycle… I’m pretty sure I would kill myself or lay it down on my foot right in the middle of town and have to be drug out from under it. Then some old lady with saggy nylon tights would come over to see if I was O.K. and I would accidentally look up her dress… So lets just forget about getting a motor cycle. I don’t like what I’m thinking about.

What else is new…

In relation to what else I’ve been doing, mostly typing but also listening to some sweet tunes. One in particular that I got was ‘Grace Kelly‘ from Mika… I freaking love this song, and for some reason they remind me of Queen. oh and don’t ask why, but I’ve really been into the Shiny Toy Guns, weird I know…

Nuff said for now,,, I promise I’ll get some good video of the Scooter in action (biscuet), maybe even a wheely. just for you Wine… I’m building a mount on the front for my camera, so, good time are coming…

Take it easy

Today I got up went to check on some things here and noticed one very important item… My stat counter just clicked 10,000…

Yes, I’m kind of a stats junky, but only in the sense that it’s good to see progress. I know I’ve never had a serious message or an over all theme (apart from just trying to have fun), but I’m not to worried about it.

Just want to say thanks for the interest, you’ve made this an actual creative outlet for me…

I made a little oopsy and did a post thinking it was monday, wow my days are all messed up. Kinda funny though. I just got done doing a post for Positive Post Tue, and then I immediately turned around and did a post about Monday night chat. ha!

I think RSS picked it up, mine did. So, if you see it than this post makes sense. If you don’t see it than this post is just a joke and you should laugh. HA HA HA

We had a good time last night chatten it up over at AreWeStillCool. I almost missed it cause I was watching Prince Caspian. For those of you who weren’t there cause you a chicken than I’m calling you Yellow. You are really missing out on a lot of good conversations and some basic Networking of silly ideas.

So I have a Love / Hate Relationship with PHP. Today is one of the days that I love PHP. The simplest things pop in my head that would like to do, and then BAM!!! I realize that it’s really easy with a few lines of PHP code.

Finally I want to let everyone know that Portland is Awesome. It’s rainy here today and low 60’s, but just a few day ago it was 95. I love that! I love the fact that it could rain anytime. CA, it’s not like that. Summer hits and you’re screwed. How’s Tennessee in the summer???

So I had an Idea this morning thanks to a chat that I was in over at arewestillcool, last monday. I went over to there site and participated in there chat, a good time was had by all. They have a little image in there sidebar advertising the next chat on May 19 at 9pm est. I liked it so much that I thought I would grab the image and put it in my sidebar to try and get more people to come join the chat.

Here is what I came up with…

I built a page where you can put in an image URL and a Link URL hit send and bam!!! you get an email with the code you need to put it in your blogs text widget. There is plenty of instruction and a few rules, but have at it.

While I was building this page I decided to ad an extra feature. There is a section in the form letting you choose to have your code posted publicly so you can share you Image Link with the rest of the world. Friday is over, and I am a little too tired to be awake, but I am also sad that it’s over. What a day it was. (I hope this is what Tennessee will be like, doing stuff all the time) I don’t honestly get out of the house that much. I go to the grocery store, to the mail box and occasionally the dumpster when its time to take out the trash.

The Music Industry is a fast pace fun lifestyle that I like to jump into every now and then. It’s fun to be apart of all the commotion. I also got to meat two other bloggers, First was Tyler Braun who I mentioned in an earlier post, and later I met Samantha Crandall. Both of which were really good people, and I’m glad to have me them.

Honestly it really wasn’t that busy, but I just don’t think I could be a rock-star. I like to hear that sound that silence makes. If you happen to see the show Via Web Stream, What Did You Think?

Brody came to Portland last night and the first thing we did was go out for some food. We went strait for Qdoba, but it shut down about 5min before we got there. !!Dang it!! So we went to the Whole Foods and got a little grub.

Today we made a point to get to Qdoba. We made it there, ate it, and liked it… It was good… But we did more than just eat some food. We met a fellow blogger who happens to live out here in the Portland area. We met up with Tyler Braun, check him out. We had food and talked about the blogging world. It was fun and we made our way back here to the church.

Things are set up and were looking good. So, take it easy and check Phil out if you get a chance.

Qdoba!!!!

I would just like to announce that our Original Poster Boys ‘MercyMe‘ have had another revision of the their ever expanding Blog. This is one of my favorite parts of my job. Also, one of my favorite parts of the way web2.0 and blogging has redefined the way we view the web and its content.

With ever changing content and updates that roll in about every week, it seems like we are always having to find another little space to put a new item. With blogging type content you had better be prepared to add, add and add some more. I mean it when I say, ‘You had better be prepared‘. If you’re not, the next thing you know you’ll have a completely jumbled site with crap all over it. Your viewers wont be able to focus on much and you end up with people that only read the posts. At that point all your extras go to waste.

I think we accomplished most of our Goals with the latest revision of MercyMe. We’ve cleaned up the navigation and simplified it by putting it in a standard horizontal arangment. We took all the extras and condenced them into images that we placed in a single sidebar. There’s no explination need for what they have available, if you cant figure out what you’re clicking on than you may need glasses.

Bart has recently start Twitter, so we brought that in for you to check out. The MercyMe web crew, who is awesome by the way, has had a pretty killer audio player on the Official Website for a while now so we decided to add that for you’re listening pleasure. The Blog Roll seems to have expanded to a double column. (I swear those blog rolls are like rabbits) And finally we added a little section at the bottom for those who are curious about what has been going on in the past or just looking for something specific.

Over the last couple of months I’ve began to wonder about community. I’ve been thinking about the Church and all the people that make the body of Christ. I’ve been think about our society and our generations of today, young and old alike. What is the perception of life from an average stand point? Does the Christian Society really exist the way we perceive it? (perhaps that last line is better said, ‘the way I perceive it?)

Brody made a really good point the other day, and i had an idea. I would like to see a community come together and share its life experience.

Here’s is my Challenge.

Think of a story that you are, in some way, connected too that will uplift and build your community, then post it within the next week.

Why?

Life seems to be largely based on our perception of write and wrong, good and bad and our perception of other peoples lives. Share your story and see what happens.
