First things First, the Church service was normal. Nothing out of the ordinary. I heard a few “yall’s” and few other things that made me chuckle. I think since I lived in on West Coast for so long I’m just used to hearing a lot of different accents but nothing over the top.
Here is a little something I wrote about why southern accents crack me up…
I know this probably isn’t a nice thing to say, but in my head a southern accent has been equated to “being slow“. (mentally) So sometimes I laugh when I hear people say certain things.
The other one is this characture on a cartoon that I’ve seen who has a southern accent and he’s gay. So, every now and then I hear people say things that make me laugh.
Im sorry if this offends you, I know its not nice, but if you’re having a conversation with me and I start to chuckle its ok to kick me in the shin… I wont even make you apologize.
After Church I grabbed my back pack and took a ride on the Scooter…
This things so much fun, but at the same time it’s a little intimidating. Not because of the raw power, but because of the people behind you looking at you as if to say, “I could squash you like a bug”.
I’m sure there not saying that…

LOL. We are a bit mouth lazy in the south. I have this uncle who has that word melting trick down so well…you’d think he was talking in slow motion.
However, both my parents are grew up in the north, so even though I grew up around “slow talkers”, I didn’t end up with the accent. Strange how that happens. My “ya’lls” sound fake, but I say them anyhow.
Ah well. Welcome to the south!
Do you listen to Michael Jackson’s ‘Speed Demon’ as you race along?
More like “I can’t drive 55″ from Van Halen…. Nice wheels mang… What is the top speed on that bad boy?
It almost looks like a Ruckus????
