I read a few blogs this morning and they kinda got my brain stirring.
I went over to Without Wax and something in his post got me thinking about how the majority of “Christians”, in my perspective, seem to be missing a healthy dose of “Reality”. Not sure what part is missing, but something is missing.
No more that 4 blogs later I came across one of Carlos’s posts with a banner that some people were walking around with.
Obviously these people have issues and the majority of “Christians” would agree to a point.
Here is my question…
What is it about the average “Christians” daily life that reminds them of God’s existence? What is it that reminds them of the Truth? Once you have these thoughts in mind, think about how loudly they spoke to you. Literally how loud did you hear them in your ears?
Well I’m not crazy so I didn’t hear anything. What I did notice was the subtle consistency of the “Reality” around me; “Life“. The calmness of Nature and peace of Silence.
I just wish more people would reflect a life of Christ than talk about one.
I can’t say much for myself, I’m not the best example of a good reflection, but I would rather reflect than be heard.

i’m totally screwed on that list … but “sports fans”? WTF? I think most people might be going to hell if that one’s true. And fornicators? So no one can have sex? What about the continuation of the human race? But witches, we know they’re all evil, all black-eyed and into those magicks :-p

I’ve been following your blog for quite a while, since my husband first “introduced” me to you, and thought maybe it was about time i should speak up! haha
Christians are definitely called to be a reflection of Christ, rather than to talk about Christian “things” and not do them. This is a big struggle for everyone, i think… Christian or not. (saying one thing and doing another)
Christians should strive becoming as much like Christ as humanly possible… This being said, we must teach ourselves the Gospel daily… We must not forget the importance of the blood that was shed on our behalf as Christ was tortured on the cross and completely crushed by his own father… In “Christ Our Mediator” Mahaney does an amazing job of expressing the importance of reflecting on this daily as we seek to grow in Christ…To me, this is the best way to remind myself of Christ, and I would reccomend it to anyone. The cross should be the center of the Gospel and our life.
I’m not triyng to leave the impression that I have this routine in the bag, so to say. I definitely still consider myself a poor reflection of Christ. But I’m asking God to help me all the time.
